Privacy
Kai's Games is a set of games for young children. We designed it so that we do not collect any information about children, and as little as possible about the grown-ups who buy it.
Who we are
Kai's Games is made and sold by ResultsExpert Consulting, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. You can reach us at hello@kaisgames.com. For anything about personal or children's data, write to privacy@kaisgames.com.
Information about children
When you set up a player, you choose a name, how it is pronounced, boy or girl (or neither), skin colour, hair, clothes and a favourite colour. This is saved only in the web browser on your own device, so the games can show and say it. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it, and we have no copy of it.
The games do not use accounts, microphones, location, advertising, analytics or tracking of any kind. Children cannot make purchases, chat, or contact anyone.
Living Canvas can use the camera when a grown-up chooses to photograph a child's drawing. The photo is used once, on the device itself, to wake the drawing. It is never uploaded or saved.
Numbers Path keeps each child's progress (which steps they have mastered) in the browser on your device, in the same way as the player details. Removing a player in Grown-ups removes their progress too.
Speech is produced by the voice built into your device. Your device, not us, turns the words into sound.
To delete a child's details, open Grown-ups in the app (press and hold) and remove the player, or clear the website's data in your browser.
Information about the buyer
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Dodo Payments collects the buyer's name, email address, billing country and payment details to take the payment, handle tax, send the receipt and email the licence key. Their privacy policy explains how they handle this. Dodo Payments shares with us the buyer's name, email address, country and order details so we can provide support and refunds. We do not receive card numbers.
Unlocking a device
When you enter a licence key, the app sends the key and a short device label (for example "Android tablet 2026-10-15") to Dodo Payments to check the key and count your devices. Keys bought in Zimbabwe (they start with KGZ-) are checked in the same way by our own licence service instead, which runs on Cloudflare. About every two weeks, when the device is online, it checks again that the key is still valid. Nothing about your child is included.
Keys bought in Zimbabwe
Buyers in Zimbabwe pay us, or one of our resellers, directly by EcoCash, Paynow or bank transfer, and receive a key that starts with KGZ-. The first time such a key is used, the app asks the grown-up for a name (their own or the school's) and a phone or WhatsApp number, and, if they wish, an email address and town. We keep these details with the key on our licence service, which runs on Cloudflare, to register the purchase, to help with the licence and to handle refunds. The reseller who sold the key can see the name and the date the key was first used, but not the phone number or email address. We do not use these details for marketing or share them with anyone else. Nothing about your child is asked for or kept. To see, correct or delete your details, write to privacy@kaisgames.com.
The website
The website and app are files served by our web host, which keeps standard short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run the service securely. The website does not set cookies and has no advertising. Cloudflare, our web host, counts visits to the website's information pages with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you to other sites. It is not used in the games app or the character builder. Fonts are served from our own site.
Setup links, QR codes and gift cards
When you set up a child on kaisgames.com/build or make a gift card, the child's name and chosen look are put inside the link or QR code itself, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a server, and the games remove it from the address bar as soon as they open. A gift card's QR code also holds the licence key, so anyone who has the card can unlock the games with it.
Partner codes
If you arrive through a partner's link (such as kaisgames.com/?p=CODE), the partner's code is kept on your device for 60 days and added to your order at checkout, so we can pay the partner. The partner is not told who you are, and nothing about your child is included.
Emails to us
If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you, and keep it for as long as needed to deal with your request and our records.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to privacy@kaisgames.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (Europe and the UK), COPPA (United States), POPIA (South Africa) and Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act give you these rights, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how the games handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
